Morgan’s practice is both thoughtful and expansive, bringing together contemporary art forms with ancestral narrative to create work that speaks to memory, place and continuity.

Morgan Hogg

Morgan Hogg is an artist and creative producer of Cook Island Māori (Ngāti Tāne), Tahitian and English descent, living and working on unceded Wangal and Dharug country. 

Working across installation, performance and video, she explores themes of cultural displacement, belonging, and intergenerational knowledge, often drawing from oral histories and lived experience within her Kūki ‘Airani heritage.

Morgan has shared her work widely across Australia and internationally, including exhibitions at Carriageworks, Firstdraft, Performance Space, PICA, and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. 

She is the recipient of the 2023 NSW Visual Arts Fellowship (Emerging) and has recently completed her Master of Fine Arts at the University of Sydney.

Alongside her own practice, she has also supported intergenerational cultural exchange and advocacy within the Pacific arts community supporting Henry Tavioni and Gina Tavioni Bamber (of Te Toki Tupuna) to attend a conference at the University of Sydney in 2025.
